Russell founded Stellar Staff in 2022 and leads the company as CEO. The company was formerly known as VA Support Now. Stellar Staff places full-time remote hires, primarily from the Philippines, with businesses across the United States. Since 2022, the company has placed more than 1,000 remote hires. As CEO, Russell oversees the company's operations, including candidate recruitment and client support after a new hire starts.
Eight years at Mega Aid
From 2008 to 2016, Russell held a management role at Mega Aid. During those years, the company grew from zero to $50 million in revenue. Working at a company experiencing such rapid growth gave him firsthand experience with hiring, building teams, and keeping day-to-day operations running as the business scaled.
Co-founding Glam Fleur
In 2019, Russell co-founded Glam Fleur, a luxury preserved-rose brand based in Los Angeles. He sold his equity stake in 2022, the same year he founded Stellar Staff. Building a consumer brand from the ground up showed him how much a small business depends on a few reliable people, especially in the early years.
