MyOutDesk Reviews in 2026: What the Ratings and Published Terms Show
MyOutDesk Reviews in 2026: What the Ratings and Published Terms Show

Quick answer: MyOutDesk reviews are positive where we could check them. The company holds a 5.0 out of 5 rating on Clutch from 68 reviews and an A+ rating from the BBB (both checked October 14, 2026), and clients mostly praise fast, responsive assistants. Its published pricing starts at $1,988 a month for one full-time assistant, but its website does not publish contract length or cancellation notice. If you want a full-time assistant on written month-to-month terms, Stellar Staff is the alternative we recommend, at $1,999 a month with 14 days' notice.

Disclosure: Stellar Staff publishes this article, and we are a virtual assistant staffing company ourselves, so we compete with MyOutDesk for some clients. Every fact about MyOutDesk below comes from its own website or from the review platform named, checked on October 14, 2026, with links so you can confirm it.

What MyOutDesk Sells, and Where Its Assistants Work

MyOutDesk places one dedicated, full-time virtual assistant inside your business. Its pricing page describes the arrangement as one person working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and its FAQ says every placement is full-time. Part-time help is not offered.

Daniel Ramsey founded the company in 2008 and is still its CEO, according to the about page. MyOutDesk began in real estate and expanded into other industries in 2017. Its homepage now says it has served more than 8,500 clients across 51+ industries, screens more than 125,000 applicants a year, and accepts the top 1%. The BBB lists its address in Sacramento, California.

The roles. A MyOutDesk virtual assistant can be hired for general administration, customer service, bookkeeping, marketing, inside sales, sales development, recruiting support, reception, help desk work, loan processing, and medical billing. Real estate is still a large part of the business, with transaction coordinators and inside sales agents listed as separate services. The homepage says MyOutDesk has served more than 2,000 Realtors.

Where the assistants are. The about page says the company was built on talent from the Philippines and now also recruits in Latin America and Africa. It lists offices in California, Manila, Lima, and Casablanca, and the pricing page says bilingual Spanish and French assistants are available. Its regions page pitches Latin American talent for overlapping business hours and the Philippine hub for around-the-clock coverage. For what U.S. buyers should know about hiring from the Philippines in general, see our guide to hiring a virtual assistant in the Philippines.

MyOutDesk Pricing as Published in October 2026

MyOutDesk publishes starting prices for two of its three tiers. All three are built around one full-time assistant.

The pricing page says the monthly rate covers recruiting, vetting, payroll, benefits, HR administration, onboarding, time tracking, and an account manager, and it states "No hidden fees." What "starting at" depends on is not explained. The page does not say whether the role, the assistant's region, or bilingual skills change the price, so ask for a quote on the exact role you plan to fill.

MyOutDesk Ratings We Verified on Each Platform

We recorded only what each platform showed on its own page. We do not assign MyOutDesk a score of our own.

Clutch carries the public client feedback we could read. Its category scores were 4.9 for quality, 5.0 for schedule, 5.0 for cost, and 4.9 for willingness to refer. Most of the reviews on the first page of the profile were posted in mid-May 2026, and several describe working relationships that started years earlier.

The BBB describes its letter grade as its opinion of how a business is likely to treat customers, based on factors such as complaint history and time in business. Its ratings overview says customer reviews are not used in the grade, and MyOutDesk's BBB profile had none. Trustpilot shows a profile MyOutDesk claimed in 2021 that has not received a review. We found no G2 listing, and Google ratings could not be checked on Google itself, so we left both out.

What Clients Praise in MyOutDesk Reviews

The same themes appear repeatedly in MyOutDesk's virtual assistant reviews on Clutch. We summarize them in our own words rather than quoting reviewers.

  • Timeliness. This is the strength Clutch's own review summary mentions most often. Clients describe assistants who meet deadlines and keep work moving.
  • Communication. Reviewers say both the assistants and the MyOutDesk team respond quickly.
  • Quick integration. Several clients say their assistant learned their systems fast and fit into the team's routine.
  • Care with details. Accuracy, organization, and a willingness to take initiative come up often.
  • Value. Clients describe the service as good value for what they pay, which matches Clutch's cost score of 5.0.

Give the most weight to reviews from businesses like yours, in the same industry and hiring for a similar role. A strong review from a real estate team tells a medical practice less than a review from another clinic would.

Criticisms and Suggestions in MyOutDesk Reviews

Outright complaints are rare on Clutch. The critical points that do appear read as suggestions, and they are useful questions to raise on a sales call.

  • Internal handoffs. Clutch's summary notes occasional gaps where one MyOutDesk staff member did not know about an arrangement made with another.
  • Visibility into the workday. Some clients asked for more activity and attendance data than they received.
  • Security practices. One theme is the need for closer attention to HIPAA and access controls when assistants log in to client systems.
  • Working across cultures. A few clients suggested more coaching for employers on their assistant's communication style.

Because Trustpilot and the BBB show no reviews or complaints, these Clutch comments make up most of the public client feedback we could check. A low complaint count is encouraging, but it also gives you less insight into how disputes and cancellations are handled.

What MyOutDesk Does Not Publish About Its Contract

For a buyer, this is the main gap. The "Terms of Service" link in MyOutDesk's footer opens a page about SMS text messages: how often you may receive texts and how to reply STOP. It links to a separate terms document hosted by a third party, which we could not load. Neither the pricing page nor its FAQ covers the points below.

  • Contract length. No minimum term or month-to-month statement appears on the pricing page or its FAQ.
  • Notice to cancel. No notice period is published.
  • Replacements. The FAQ says a replacement comes at no additional cost, and the pricing page lists an "Impact guarantee": an impact on your business, "Or we'll find someone who will." Neither says how long replacement support lasts or how many replacements are included. The guarantee is a promise to find another assistant.
  • Hiring your assistant directly. No conversion or buyout terms are published.

Leaving terms to the proposal stage is a business choice. It does mean the agreement MyOutDesk sends you matters more than its website. Ask for it before you commit, and read the term, notice, replacement, and non-solicitation clauses first.

Where MyOutDesk's Own Pages Disagree

We compared MyOutDesk's homepage, pricing page, about page, reviews page, and trust center on October 14, 2026. A few claims do not line up.

Two colleagues comparing printed pages side by side at a light wood meeting table
MyOutDesk's homepage, pricing page, and trust center describe its security credentials in different terms.

Security credentials. The pricing comparison table says "SOC 2 Audited, HIPAA-Verified." The homepage says "SOC 2 Type I Certified" and also claims PCI-DSS compliance. The trust center lists HIPAA, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and SOC 2 Type 1, but not PCI DSS. On the pricing page, "HIPAA & PCI-DSS compliance ready" appears as a Specialized tier feature rather than a Managed tier one. If you handle patient or card data, ask which controls apply to the tier you are buying and request the reports through the trust center.

Time to hire. The homepage says "Hire in 7 days" and gives 7 days as the average time to hire. The pricing FAQ says most clients are matched "within days," while the pricing comparison table says "As little as 1 week." These can all be true for different clients, but they describe different things, so ask for a date for your role.

Review counts. The homepage cites "700+ Five-star reviews" across Google, Meta, and Clutch, and the about page says "over 700 verified 5-star business reviews." On the platforms we could check, we counted 68 reviews on Clutch and none on Trustpilot or the BBB. We could not check Google or Meta, so we cannot confirm or rule out the rest.

When MyOutDesk Is the Better Pick

MyOutDesk is a credible company with a long record, and it is the stronger choice in several situations:

  • You run a real estate team and want a provider that has worked with agents since 2008 and offers transaction coordinators and inside sales agents as defined roles.
  • Your vendor review requires security documentation. MyOutDesk publishes a trust center listing SOC 2 Type 1, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and HIPAA.
  • You want an assistant in Latin America for overlapping business hours, or you need Spanish or French.
  • You plan to staff several roles or an around-the-clock operation across regions.
  • Price is the deciding factor at the entry level. MyOutDesk's starting rate is slightly lower than the price of our Pro plan.

It is a weaker match if you need help for only a few hours a week, since every placement is full-time, or if you want the contract terms in hand before your first call.

Why We Recommend Stellar Staff as the MyOutDesk Alternative

If you want a full-time assistant and clear terms from the start, Stellar Staff is the alternative we recommend. Like MyOutDesk, we place one dedicated assistant, and our talent comes primarily from the Philippines. The differences are in what we publish and how you choose.

Price and terms. Pro costs $1,999 a month for 160 hours, about $12.50 an hour, and Executive costs $2,999 a month. A bilingual assistant adds $200 a month. Plans run month to month with no long-term contract and 14 days' notice to cancel.

Choosing your assistant. Stellar Staff accepts the top 0.1% of applicants. Candidates complete a 6-step application and 6 individual tests, written and spoken English verification, reference checks, an equipment check, professional interviews and skill assessments, internal QA, and background checks. You interview 2 to 3 finalists and pick the one you want. The search takes 5 to 10 business days.

After the hire. Stellar Staff handles recruiting, payroll, HR, tracking, and replacements, and you direct the daily work. Replacements are free, forever, on managed plans. We have placed 1,000+ remote hires since 2022 and are the #2 VA agency on Clutch.

Choose Stellar Staff if you want a full-time assistant on month-to-month terms with 14 days' notice, you want to interview 2 to 3 finalists yourself, and you want free replacements, forever. If you need Latin American talent, a trust center your security team can review, or deep real estate specialization, MyOutDesk is the better fit. Our plans are on the pricing page.

MyOutDesk Questions Buyers Ask Before a Sales Call

Is MyOutDesk legit?

Yes. MyOutDesk has operated since 2008, holds an A+ rating from the BBB and has been accredited since 2021, and showed a 5.0 out of 5 rating from 68 reviews on Clutch when we checked on October 14, 2026. Its website does not publish contract length or cancellation terms, so ask for the written agreement before you sign.

How much does MyOutDesk cost?

MyOutDesk's Managed Outsourcing tier starts at $1,988 a month and its Specialized Outsourcing tier starts at $2,500 a month, each for one full-time assistant. Its Custom Recruitment tier is priced by quote. The site does not explain which factors increase the price above its advertised starting rate.

Does MyOutDesk offer part-time virtual assistants?

No. MyOutDesk's pricing FAQ says every placement is full-time and dedicated, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. If you need 10 to 60 hours a month instead, an hour-block service such as Time Etc is a closer fit.

Are MyOutDesk virtual assistants in the Philippines?

Many are. MyOutDesk started with talent from the Philippines and has an office in Manila, and it now also recruits in Latin America and Africa, with offices in Lima and Casablanca. Stellar Staff's talent comes primarily from the Philippines as well.

How do you cancel MyOutDesk?

MyOutDesk does not publish a cancellation process or notice period on its pricing page, FAQ, or Terms of Service page, which covers SMS messages. Ask for the notice terms in writing before you start. By comparison, Stellar Staff plans are month to month with 14 days' notice.

What is the best MyOutDesk alternative?

For a full-time assistant on published month-to-month terms, Stellar Staff is the alternative we recommend. Pro costs $1,999 a month for 160 hours, you interview 2 to 3 finalists, the search takes 5 to 10 business days, and replacements are free, forever. If you want a U.S.-based assistant, look at BELAY or Time Etc.

Read MyOutDesk's Reviews Alongside the Agreement It Sends You

MyOutDesk's public record is strong. It has been in business since 2008, holds a 5.0 rating on Clutch, and has a clean BBB file. Clients praise its timeliness and communication. The unanswered questions concern what the website leaves out: contract length, notice, replacement limits, and which security credentials apply to which tier.

If those answers come back in writing and suit you, MyOutDesk is a reasonable choice, especially for real estate or regulated work. If you would rather start with the terms already published, Stellar Staff places a full-time assistant at $1,999 a month, month to month with 14 days' notice, and the search takes 5 to 10 business days. Book a call to start your search.
