Quick answer: OnlineJobs.ph reviews are mixed. The job board holds a 3.5 out of 5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 293 reviews (checked October 22, 2026). Employers like the size of the talent pool and the low price: Pro costs $69 a month and Premium $99. The trade-off is that you do the hiring yourself, including screening, contracts, pay, and finding a replacement if the worker quits. If you would rather have that handled, Stellar Staff places a full-time assistant for $1,999 a month.
Disclosure: Stellar Staff is a staffing agency that competes with the companies reviewed, and every competitor fact comes from the company's own site or the named rating platform, checked October 22, 2026. We do not quote individual reviewers or give OnlineJobs.ph a score of our own.
What Is OnlineJobs.ph, and Who Does the Hiring?
OnlineJobs.ph is a job board where employers find and hire Filipino workers directly. It is not a staffing agency. You post a job or search resumes, contact the people you like, interview them, agree on pay and hours, and hire them yourself. OnlineJobs.ph charges you a monthly subscription for access to the site and its tools, and it does not add a markup to the salary you agree on. The company's About page says it launched in 2009 and names John Jonas as co-founder and CEO. It lists 5M+ Filipino profiles and 750K+ employers worldwide. The site's terms of service name the provider as Flowing Air Studios LLC in Lehi, Utah, and apply Utah law. The hiring decision, the employment relationship, and the day-to-day work stay with you.
Its how it works page lays out three steps: post a job or search resumes, interview candidates as you would a local hire and offer a job, then track hours through Timeproof and pay through EasyPay once the worker has completed a week. Our guide on how to hire a virtual assistant compares job boards, marketplaces, and agencies side by side.
How Much Does OnlineJobs.ph Cost in 2026?
OnlineJobs.ph publishes three employer plans on its pricing page. The Free plan lets you post jobs and read applications, but you cannot see applicants' contact details or message them until you upgrade. Pro costs $69 a month, or $299 a year, and lets you contact up to 75 workers a month. Premium costs $99 a month, or $349 a year, and raises that to 500 contacts, with unlimited Background Data Checks, an AI shortlist, a worker mentoring service, and contract templates. The pricing page also says there are no contracts and no salary markups, and that you can cancel at any time. The worker's salary is separate, and you negotiate and pay it yourself. OnlineJobs.ph's own Smart Shortlist page puts typical Filipino VA earnings at $4 to $12 an hour.
| Plan | Price | Job posts | Applications per job | Contact workers | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0, no credit card required | Up to 3; approval takes 2 days | 15 | No | Timeproof, EasyPay, bookmarks |
| Pro | $69 a month or $299 a year | Up to 3 a month; instant approval | 200 | Up to 75 a month | Worker reviews, Timeproof, EasyPay |
| Premium | $99 a month or $349 a year | Up to 10 a month; instant approval | 200 | Up to 500 a month | Unlimited Background Data Checks, Smart Shortlist, worker mentoring, contract and document templates |

You also do not have to keep paying after you hire. A company blog post invites employers to cancel once they have found someone; you keep access for the month you paid for, then drop to a free account.

What Do OnlineJobs.ph Reviews Say on Trustpilot?
We used Trustpilot as the public rating source for this review. On October 22, 2026, its profile showed a 3.5 out of 5 TrustScore, labeled "Average," from 293 reviews. The split is wide: 58% of reviews give five stars and 22% give one star, with few in between. OnlineJobs.ph claimed the profile in March 2022, and Trustpilot reports that it replies to 70% of negative reviews, typically within 24 hours. Keep in mind who writes these reviews. OnlineJobs.ph serves both employers and Filipino jobseekers, and both groups post on the same Trustpilot page, so the score blends two very different experiences. An employer reading OnlineJobs.ph reviews should pay most attention to comments about candidate quality, worker reliability, and billing, and less to jobseeker complaints about pay offers.
| Trustpilot measure | What the profile showed |
|---|---|
| TrustScore | 3.5 out of 5, "Average" |
| Number of reviews | 293 |
| Star split | 58% five-star, 11% four-star, 6% three-star, 3% two-star, 22% one-star |
| Replies to negative reviews | 70%, typically within 24 hours |

We read the reviews shown on the profile, posted between March and October 2026. In our own words:
- Praise: reviews on Trustpilot mention an easy site, a large volume of listings, employers who made good hires, and convenient payment and time tracking tools.
- Criticism: reviews mention slow or scripted support, payment problems, duplicate or scam job posts, slow account verification, and low pay offers. Some employers describe workers who stopped working without notice.
We could not find a BBB profile for OnlineJobs.ph or its operating company, so we have not listed a BBB rating.
What Do EasyPay, Timeproof, and ID Proof Actually Do?
OnlineJobs.ph includes several tools that help you hire and pay workers, but none of them shifts employer duties to the platform. EasyPay sends payments to your worker. Its EasyPay page says the service is free to employers and runs on Payoneer and PayPal, and that paying by credit card adds a 3 to 4% processing fee. Workers pay a 2% fee to convert U.S. dollars to pesos when they withdraw to a local bank. Timeproof, according to its product page, logs work time and takes automatic screenshots, is free, and remains available after you cancel your subscription. ID Proof is a score on each worker profile. A sample worker profile explains that scores run from 0 to 99, with 99 the best, and that the score shows whether a worker is who they claim to be but "DOES NOT indicate skill level."
Premium adds the Background Data Check. Its product page lists six items drawn from the OnlineJobs.ph database itself: admin ID verification, a multiple-account tracker, the worker's employment history on the site, past employer reviews, their application log, and their profile editing log. That is useful, but it is not a background check from an outside source, and it does not test skills. Smart Shortlist uses AI to score applicants against your criteria, and its page says plainly that "It doesn't hire for you." The mentoring service pairs your hire with a peer mentor, and day-to-day management stays with you.
Where Do OnlineJobs.ph's Own Pages Disagree?
Two sets of OnlineJobs.ph pages do not match, and both are worth knowing before you pay. The first is the money-back window. The guarantee page headline refers to 30 days "of upgrading," while its body says "within 30 days of payment." Section 6 of the terms of service describes a money-back policy "for payments made within 31 days." The guarantee page limits it to one refund per customer or company. The second mismatch is fees: the pricing page says "NO EXTRA FEES," yet the EasyPay page lists a 3 to 4% credit card fee and a 2% currency conversion fee on the worker's side. Neither gap is large, but if you want your money back, ask early and in writing.
The terms also say it is your responsibility to cancel recurring subscriptions, and they cap OnlineJobs.ph's liability at the amount you paid. Section 7.10 says hours a worker spends in the interview process, in onboarding, and after hiring must be paid, so budget for paid test tasks.
What Are You Responsible for When Hiring Through OnlineJobs.ph?
When you hire through OnlineJobs.ph, you take on nearly every task an agency would otherwise handle. You write the job post, read the applications, decide whom to contact, run interviews, and set up any skills test. You write and sign the agreement with your worker, decide whether they are a contractor or an employee, and set the pay, hours, holidays, and notice terms. You send payment every pay period and keep the records, and if they quit, you start the search again. In our sales calls, buyers who have looked at hiring directly ask who handles payroll, who does the vetting, and what happens if the worker leaves. With OnlineJobs.ph, the answer to all three is you.
| Task | OnlineJobs.ph | You, hiring directly | Stellar Staff |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finding candidates | Hosts job posts and resumes | Post, search, and contact | Recruits from thousands of applicants a month |
| Screening and vetting | ID Proof score; Background Data Check on Premium | Interviews, tests, and references | 6-step application, 6 individual tests, English verification, reference and background checks |
| Choosing the person | Smart Shortlist suggests; does not decide | You decide | You interview 2 to 3 finalists and pick one |
| Contract | Templates on Premium | Write and sign it yourself | Month to month, 14 days' notice |
| Payroll | EasyPay transfers payments | Set pay, send it, keep records | Handled by Stellar Staff |
| HR and time tracking | Timeproof tool | Your responsibility | Handled by Stellar Staff |
| Replacement if the worker quits | Not offered | Start a new search | Free, forever, on managed plans |
| Daily direction of the work | Not involved | You | You |

Contracts. The Premium documents package includes independent contractor contracts, NDAs, and a "Philippines Employment Norms Guide." Check them against our virtual assistant contract template, which covers scope, pay, IP, confidentiality, and notice.
Pay and tax paperwork. If you treat the worker as a foreign contractor, many U.S. businesses collect IRS Form W-8BEN. The IRS page says a foreign person gives the form to the withholding agent or payer, not to the IRS.
Philippine labor considerations. A full-time direct hire with fixed hours who works under your close direction can start to look like an employee rather than a contractor. Philippine employees are entitled to benefits such as 13th month pay: according to the Philippine News Agency's report on DOLE guidelines, rank-and-file private-sector employees who worked at least one month in the year receive at least one-twelfth of the basic salary they earned in the calendar year, paid by December 24. Our guide to outsourcing to the Philippines explains who the legal employer is under each hiring model, and our guide to hiring a virtual assistant in the Philippines covers holidays and pay norms.

What Happens If Your OnlineJobs.ph Hire Quits?
If a worker you hired through OnlineJobs.ph quits or stops responding, the platform does not send a replacement. You go back to the job board and run the search again. If you canceled your subscription after the first hire, you will need to buy a plan again, because the Free plan does not let you see contact details or message applicants. Then you post the job, screen and interview candidates, and onboard the new person, and rebuild any business knowledge that wasn't documented. Some Trustpilot reviewers describe exactly this: workers who stopped working without notice. OnlineJobs.ph's money-back guarantee covers your subscription, not the time you lose or the work that falls behind.
A few habits lower the risk. Keep logins in a password manager you control so you can revoke access the same day. Ask the worker to keep a running document of recurring tasks and contacts. Put a notice period in the contract, and keep your shortlist from the first search. Our article on how long it takes to hire a virtual assistant breaks down each stage of a new search.
When Is OnlineJobs.ph the Right Choice?
OnlineJobs.ph is a good choice when budget is your tightest constraint and you have time to run the hiring yourself. The subscription is small, there is no salary markup, and you can cancel once you have hired. You also get full control: you pick the person, set the pay, and decide the terms. It also suits part-time or project roles, since you can hire someone for a few hours a day at a rate you negotiate. It is a weaker fit if you have never screened a remote candidate, if you need someone to start soon and cannot spend hours on interviews, or if you do not want to handle payroll, classification, and replacement yourself.
If you are also weighing a freelance marketplace, our Stellar Staff vs Upwork comparison shows how a marketplace differs from a dedicated full-time hire, and Upwork vs Fiverr compares the two largest marketplaces.
Choose Stellar Staff If You Want Vetting, Payroll, and Replacements Handled
Choose Stellar Staff if you have a full workweek of tasks to delegate and you do not want to run the search, payroll, and replacements yourself. Stellar Staff places one dedicated, full-time assistant for 160 hours a month. Pro costs $1,999 a month, about $12.50 an hour, and Executive costs $2,999 a month. A bilingual assistant adds $200 a month. Plans are month to month, with no long-term contract and 14 days' notice. Stellar Staff handles recruiting, payroll, HR, tracking, and replacements, and you direct the daily work. Replacements are free, forever, on managed plans. Our talent comes primarily from the Philippines, the same pool OnlineJobs.ph serves, so the real difference is who handles recruiting and employer responsibilities. The agency fee may cost more than a job board subscription plus salary because it includes recruiting, payroll, HR, and replacement support. Stellar Staff describes its plans as a third of the cost of a local hire.
The screening is done before you meet anyone. Stellar Staff receives thousands of applicants a month and accepts the top 0.1%. Candidates complete a 6-step application and 6 individual tests, written and spoken English verification, reference checks, an equipment check, professional interviews and skill assessments, internal QA, and background checks. You interview 2 to 3 finalists and pick one, and the search takes 5 to 10 business days. Stellar Staff is the #2 VA agency on Clutch, with 1,000+ remote hires placed since 2022.
OnlineJobs.ph is the better pick if you need part-time help, since Stellar Staff sells full-time plans only, or if keeping cash costs as low as possible matters more to you than saving hours. Our Stellar Staff alternatives page compares other providers if neither fits.
What Employers Ask Before Paying for OnlineJobs.ph
Is OnlineJobs.ph legit?
Yes. OnlineJobs.ph has operated since 2009, is run by Flowing Air Studios LLC in Utah, and holds a 3.5 out of 5 TrustScore on Trustpilot from 293 reviews, checked October 22, 2026. Like any open job board, it relies on you to screen candidates, and some reviewers report scam or duplicate job posts.
Is OnlineJobs.ph free for employers?
You can post up to 3 jobs and view up to 15 applications per job for free, but the Free plan does not let you see contact details or message applicants. To hire, you need Pro at $69 a month or Premium at $99 a month. Annual plans cost $299 and $349.
Does OnlineJobs.ph handle payroll or taxes?
No. EasyPay moves money from you to your worker through Payoneer or PayPal, but you set the pay, send it, and keep the records, and any tax or benefit obligations stay with you. Stellar Staff handles recruiting, payroll, HR, tracking, and replacements, and Pro costs $1,999 a month for a full-time assistant.
Can you get your money back from OnlineJobs.ph?
OnlineJobs.ph advertises a money-back guarantee within 30 days, while its terms of service refer to payments made within 31 days. The guarantee page limits it to one refund per customer or company. Ask early, in writing, and keep the date of your payment.
What does the ID Proof score mean on OnlineJobs.ph?
ID Proof is a score from 0 to 99 shown on worker profiles, with 99 the best. It indicates whether the worker is who they say they are. The profile itself states that it does not indicate skill level, so you still need interviews and a paid test task to judge ability.
Is OnlineJobs.ph cheaper than Stellar Staff?
In cash, yes. OnlineJobs.ph costs $69 to $99 a month plus the salary you agree with your worker. Stellar Staff Pro costs $1,999 a month, about $12.50 an hour for 160 hours, and includes vetting, payroll, HR, and free replacements on managed plans. The real comparison is the price difference against the hours you would spend hiring and managing employer tasks yourself.
Count Your Screening Hours Before You Buy an OnlineJobs.ph Plan
OnlineJobs.ph does what it says: low-cost access to a large pool of Filipino workers, with no salary markup and the freedom to cancel once you have hired. Its reviews reflect that, with good hires on one side and unreliable workers, slow support, and payment problems on the other. The subscription is the smallest part of the decision. What matters more is whether you have the hours to screen, contract, pay, and replace a worker yourself.
If you have the time and need flexible or part-time help, start with a Pro month on OnlineJobs.ph and a clear job description. If your task list fills a full workweek and you would rather spend your time directing the work than running the search, Stellar Staff places a dedicated full-time assistant, and the search takes 5 to 10 business days. Neither option is right if your tasks need a license, physical presence, or authority to sign on your behalf; in that case, hire locally. See current plans on our pricing page, or start your search.
